Asset Form

Ive attached my form with this thread!

im having the following problems or things i cant do:

1) Information in the Employees Form isnt showing in the table below! i dont know why?

2) I want a search technique (possibly a combobox list of the names) in the employees form so that i can type in the name and it shows the information below!

can someone please have a look at my database and insert something that helps me clear my problems. It will be highly appreciated!

Can you expand on this (no 1)
no 2 easy - use the wizard function
add combo box add table got to record (Its all there )

but I think its to do with Data entry you have this set at no change it to yes and see if that helps

Ok works without this (data thingy)
what you need is a save option (use the wizard )
and use the afterupdate element on the phone ie copy the code from the save record button and put it in the after update of the phone

also not all the libararies are loaded

Information not showing in what table? It shows up in the Employees table when I run it.

Here's your db with a combobox to retrieve an employee's data, based on entering his/her name.

sorry for confusing you!

no 1: what i meant was, if i open the Employees form, and select a username, i want it to populate all the assets assigned to this username. It should populate it in the table from the Employees form which has the following fields Asset Description, AssetID and Date.......


missingling, thanks for the edited version, but if i select a name from the combobox it doesnt populate any details??? why? am i missing sumat?

the table im referring to is infact a form within the form Employees!

Right - I have look at this and there is not link between assets and Employee

Also easier if you had the asset category as a field on the Asset - the less links you have the easrier it is - otherwise you getinto all sorts of chaos

im pulling my hair out to be honest....

im not having any luck!

it doesnt populate any asset details in the EMPLOYEES form! ive tried a few things!

By selecting a user from the combobox, it should provide asset details underneath it (in the EMPLOYEES form)!

i cant get it to work?

im attaching my latest database version!

can someone please help me?

Open the query for your SubForm. It does *not* return any records!
