Attachment View

Hello!

I would like to accomplish two things. (I"ll be happy if I can at least figure out one of them!)

1. I would like to change the view of the built in attachment to display the list of documents instead of a picture.

2. I would like to build a 'preview' screen of the items attached into the form. In theory this will change when the user picks an item from the attachment display. (If I can get it to list the items out)

Please let me know if I need to elaberate.

Let me make sure I understand what you're asking before I write up a storm for the wrong thing!

If I understand you correctly, you have a form displaying a record that has associated attachment(s). When that form is displayed, you want the user to see a list of attached documents and have the ability to click on any one of them to display the attachment.

Do I have that right? If so, I have done this in a couple of applications and can tell you how I did it.

Nope I still have not figured it out.

Here is a demo that lists files in a known location on a form. When you double click on a file it opens up in its native program.

Is this what you want.
