Hey all,
Just thinking about attachments (Access 2010) and if they're a good idea in general. I'm aware that the max size of an Access DB is around 2GB and that if I'm attaching various word and PDF docs, it's going to grow quite fast. I'm also aware that Access 2010 compresses attachments. Does anyone have any experience or advice on this?
I guess an alternative route would be to use hyperlinks to link to the documents which could be stored in a shared network drive. However, I'm aware that some of the people using the DB are not that tech savvy and may struggle entering file paths etc.
I should say I'm using a FE/BE design if it makes any difference.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks,
-NS
