I am trying to format the form header section of a form in access 2007.

I select the form header section in design view, choose the auto format button from the arrange menu on the ribbon, and then click on the desired format. Seems pretty simple. However, I don't get the format that's shown in the samples. All I get is a dark gray background that fills the form header section.

Is this a bug, or is there a setting that I'm missing in the access options button,or am I doing something wrong?
I can't figure this out. Any body else experiencing this problem?

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. I googled this and can't find anything that refers to this issue.

Thanks

I'm getting the same problem when using Access 2007 in Vista. I don't know any technical work around. The only solution I have come up with is to design forms on a machine using Win XP and then put the Dbase on a flashdrive and plug the flashdrive in the Vista machine and use the import wizard to import forms from the flashdrive.

You might try the following :

Go to arrange > autoformat> autoformat wizard > options and check the 3 checkboxes : font , color and border.

Try this!

access button
access options
current database
under picture property storage format, select preserve source image
format. (your setting was probably on convert all picture data to bitmaps....

NOTE ! The FORM must be selected (not the form header) for the formatting to work properly.

This should solve the problem.
