From the ACCESS ONLINE ENCYCLOPEDIA (www.unsoftwareag.com) article M29:
How can I close my application if nobody works with it ?
Specially in multi-user-applications it might be important to close open forms or the application of users that do not work with it for a certain time .
Following a function that has to be integrated in the Timer Event of a permanently open (hidden) form. This function controls the idle time of the application: How long does the focus stay on the same control of the same form. If this time exceeds the IDLEMINUTES constant, then the function fExitApplication is called.
NOTE: The TimerInterval setting indicates how often (in milliseconds) the application checks for user inactivity. A setting of 1000 equals 1 second.
You can remotely log off users in a network environment with PowerUp Solution N2!
