I have a table with a unique ID (auto number) field. The autonumber is not incrementing correctly. The table has over 550 records, but when I try to enter a new record the autonumber starts in the mid 90's (should be greater than 550). So I get an error of a duplicate Unique ID field value. Then when I try again, the autonumber will increment by 1 to another number in the mid 90's and again I get the same error when I try to close the table.
So I enter record number 552 (Auto ID should be at least 552) I type in the information, click off the record so that the Auto ID sets itself. The Auto ID will be = 94 and then when I close the table I get the error, becasue Auto ID 94 already exists and it will create a duplicate. So I do not save the record, go back in do the same, and the Auto ID = 95 (correctly increments but to the wrong number).
Has anyone seen this? If so let me know.
Thank you,
T.J.
