Hi. I have a database set up that is supposed to automatically send emails out when a form is filled out. The cose works fine but when this happens Outlook generates each email one at a time and then waits the user to click the send button. This defeats part of the purpose of the email because if a user doesn't send the email then the other folks will not know about the change. Does anyone know how to get Outlook to automatically send and not wait for someone to click send?

Hi,

What method do you use to send the email?

If you use DoCmd.SendObject, there is an option (in the argument list) named EditMessage that you will need to set to false, this way, the message will not show on screen and be automatically sent.

If you use the Outlook object, it is not as simple. I think Outlook will give you a security message that you cannot bypass...

You can send emails without user interaction using the Outlook object model. This is assuming that you can bypass Microsofts silly security prompts.

BUt as Simon has said. You need to say how you are sending these emails.
