Automate update query after report is run

I am trying to make access update a yes/no field after running a report. Basically the report prints a certificate and in my table is a yes/no field for certificate printed. Is this possible? I have created an update query to do this action but was hoping to make it one action.

create your update query and save it.

use the on close event for the report and just do a

docmd.openquery "query name of update query"
