Hello
I would like to know how to turn on & off the Dictation Box for Access 2013. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your input regarding voice recognition software in access. I have used Dragon naturally speaking for a number of years, and currently I'm using version 15. I like Dragon very much, although it does not directly speak to access. Instead, it uses an automatic dictation box which also corresponds to other commands for example formatting. I was getting the dictation box however I unchecked the automatic feature which might have been a mistake, and now I can't seem to get that input box back. Not a major problem, I can still dictate in access however I don't get the benefits of the dictation box.:)

OK, I have found the fix which will re-establish the connection between the dictation box and access.
From the Dragon NaturallySpeaking software, under tools, there is an options choice and when selected go to the miscellaneous tab and there you will find a checkbox for use the dictation box for unsupported applications. Make sure that checkbox is checked and then close that window down; choose tools again and 2nd from the top there is a choice for dictation box. Select the dictation box and that window opens, put a check in the box for use automatic dictation box for this application. The next time you dictate into an access field the automatic dictation box will then open again. This dictation box will accept various commands for formatting etc.
