Hi,

I have created a form that almost does what I want, I am working on a few things, but I was wondering if there is a way of getting the form to open when I open the databse. I have done searches on here, and a few posts state they have done it but have problems else where, none state how they did it (well not that I could find anyway)

So, does any one know how I get my form to automatically open when I open my database?

.........

Also what is the best way to make it read only - go into properties and mark as read only, or is there a better way?

Thanks

Just select the form in question in Tools->Startup->DisplayForm\Page

Alternatively create a macro and select the option OpenForm. Name the macro AutoExec.

Thanks for the quick reply.....I cannot believe I did not find that!!

Thanks!!

Hi - was reading this and i am having the same issue but i am using access2007 - where can i go to have the form automati open when the user click on the mdb? and can we hide the tbls and query as well?

Or you could just selec the Application option when you save the form. Save As-> File Type -> MDB Application

In 2007:

Office Button/Access Options/Current Database/Display form

Glad you said something, Bob! I thought maybe that was something new with 2007/2010! :D
