Autonumber Reset

Hi,

I have a autonumber function in my form, but i have deleted all the records and want to start again but the autonumber has not reset back to 1, is there a way to do this??

I think the quickest way is to compact the db...

This doesn't seem to work in Access 2003 when you select the 'Compact and Repair Database...' option. Any ideas why ?

There are several ways to skin this cat (as one of our members is so fond of saying). 1. Open the table in design view and delete the autonumber column. Save, then re-add it.
2. Ignore the "problem". It is irrelevent where the autonumber starts or where it goes.
