Hi all.

I'm trying to upload an image for an avatar, but it's a .bmp file. How do I convert this to the required .gif or .jpeg?

If you're on Windows, try opening the bmp in Paint, or if you have Office, Microsoft Photo Editor. Then save it as jpg or gif. I'm sure there's plenty of shareware out there to do it also.

Oh, no offense taken. Though I pity the guy who's oesophagus looks like that.

It's actually an image that someone might recognise. I'll try and clean it up a little and post it again.

It's a character from a TV series. More like a guest character, actually.
