I cannot open my backend database now even with administrator rights.
I get the logon window but then can't get any further.
I can still open front end.

Have you tried holding the 'shift' key down when you open it?

If you can't open it, but the front-end still able to access the database, you can easily import tables, queries, etc into a new database and use it that way.

I can hold the shift key down and gain access to the front end design
but still can't open back end. i could open it in the past. can't remember exact error messages but are something like:-

you must be joined onto correct workgroup,open/run exclusive mode something like that, make sure no other users have it open,
you don't have permission to open or enable this database.

there are four or five error messages in a pop-up window similar to above.
i'm sure u must have seen something similar.

i want to add some new tables and also modify some tables to the back end.
how do i do that ? import into front end ? then export them back to the back end.

i have seen a website where you can run visual basic code where u don't have to open back end (i can't) but i am not sure where to copy this code and how to run it from my database
