Background Pictures

Silly as this question is, does anyone know where I can find bitmap pics for my database background? for example, color graduation backgrounds that I can add. I guess I could purchase a painting program for this but thought I'd ask if anyone knew before I done this?

Answer:

You can just add any bitmap file that you like. You don't need any program for it. When you found the bitmap you where looking for. Go to design vieuw and open your form, than rightclick -> properties and than choose your bitmap of bg color.

Note: Set te picture to linked not to embedded. If you don't do this you database will increase in size in great proportions.

I should have clarified this a little more!

I know how to add a bitmap. What I meant was, if anyone knew where I could get sample pics; if there was a web site that supplied them so that I could add them in the first place? you know, like Microsoft clip art site.

As far as the program... I meant that I could purchase Corel Paint or something and make the Graduation Pics myself however, this would be a little extreme just to add a graduation Background.

Hope I dont sound unappreciative of your advice for I may need your help again at some point JustinDB. Which will probably be soon enough hehe

Surely the Internet is littered with images you could use? Some free and some to pay for.

A simple graduation could be set up in PowerPoint and then copy/paste.

You might also take a look at this example db for how to do color-gradient backgrounds on forms if you want to avoid bloating your db with images.

This is not a criticism, but functionality is more important than looks. Vista skins look very pretty indeed, but do they enhance the user experience? I did play around with graduated pics but preferred clean (white) screens - I don't do grey! I do however use a bitmap for the Company Logo.
