Backup In VBA

Re: Simple Software Solutions

I really like OSB's backup utility. It is user friendly and easy for clients to manage backups.

I would like to try DCrake's sample as well, but cannot access the documentation mentioned to be read beforehand. Is this still available?

Thanks in advance,

P

Thank you so much.

I will try it tonight. I did however, notice a reference to a file "x-zip.rar" which I do not see included...unless I am not looking in the right places.

I must say that I find the generosity and willingness to share insight and ideas here very amazing.

Thanks again.

Hi OldSoft,

Thank you very much for the Backup Utility you provided. I successfully imported it into my Database App. Though I' ve not been able to back up my data yet with the utility. I may have to deploy my App before it works since the utility is only designed to backup backend.

Thank you once again.

Hi Old Soft boss - I have tried to convert this utility to access 2007 and it saves the file as below - putting the date and time in the middle of accdb so system doesn't recognise access file.
Can you give me any guidance on the change to get this sorted
SJO Contacts database.a_26-10-2011-09-07PMccdb

Thanks
