This is actually a very troubling story in its implications. Once again (false) claims are being made that something has to be given-up in the name of protecting the environment. A patently dishonest assertion to obscure the true intent. This is another "nail" in the lefts efforts to dismantle positive US values celebrating US culture. Unfortunately, it seems to be working: Pride in Being American Hovers Near Record Low Ahead of Independence Day. The mantra of the left is that the US is an evil racist society that has to be extinguished so July 4th celebrations now have to be put on the chopping block.

• We should recognize that many "regulations" the left seeks to impose, reduces our standard of living. Examples, besides the fireworks display, would include banning gas stoves, forcing stringent emission controls on pizza overs, and forcing people to move to expensive electrical vehicles by depriving the public of hydrocarbon resources.
• The Covid pandemic crises exposed that the left has two different standards for acceptable activities. During Covide, it was acceptable to break "curfew" restrictions if you were protesting on behalf of the racist Black Lives Matter (BLM). However, rallying in favor of conservative values was considered breaking the law. So would a fireworks display be considered acceptable if it was part of a LGTQ+++++++ celebration?

In California, we have a large Asian community that uses fireworks for Tet festivals. This is just one example, there are many other cultures here doing similar things with fireworks including the 4th of July.

Yesterday Asian Americans took the fight against affirmative action to the Supreme Court and won. They may have to step up, again and again, to push back against left-wing ideology.

The Asian people I talk to remind me of the Cubans in Florida, their politics are center-right they came here to escape communism.
