Barcodes and Validate

Sadly my father died in January, he updated / changed / etc the database of my mum's business, some years ago my father showed me a few things and since then I have not really used Microsoft Access alot since. Now the database is left to me to maintain. I have managed to do some things by copying similar functions in the database and altering them to fit my purpose. I will be using this site a lot and hope to find some really helpful people.

Here it is,

I am setting up a barcode system, the problem I am faced with now is how to validate using barcodes.

Once an order has been taken, a report is printed out and someone goes off to "pull the order". When they return I want to be able to confim that the items "pulled" are to ones on the report. (Barcodes already in place)

So far; i have created a form that allows the report to be listed. All i need is the function to validate the order.

Any help will be great.

Just use a query to double check it... No function required as far as I can see.

Please could you give be an idea on how i can do this.

Just (outer)join the pulled order to the original one and see if there are any mismatches...
