Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of creating a basic "Add Record" form? I want everything to be button controlled, so once I've entered data, I click "add" or "save" or something. Similarly, create a remove button.

I'm trying to create a basic app for organizing my music collection, and I'd like to create a simple interface, with a few buttons ("add cd" "remove cd" "search for cd"). I just don't really know how to setup such a standalone app. Any help with any of this would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys!

Though it may sound "simple" what you are basically asking is how to use Access. Try to get a hold of a copy of a basic book of Access and review the Forms section. Also, look at the Sample Database section of this forum. The form you want to create has to have tables, queries, relationships, etc. all which is not all that complicated but really more than one thread can answer.
Good luck!

this basic vba in the ON Click did me well for most ADD things.

Private Sub AddEmployee_Click()
DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec
End Sub

see if it works for you.
but be wary for more complicated Add Vba needs.
