Best method to attach files to a record

For my DB - looking at attaching both PDF and JPEG to each record.

What is the best method for this - and to keep it easy for the user.

I've read up on Hyperlinks but this mean right clicking, edit hyperlinks etc etc.

I want to the user to

1. Click on a cmd button that will browse and upload the file
2. That's it

I like to keep the document/image/etc. in a separate folder, then reference it via a UNC.
How ever that means they have to store those in some folder structure. You can then record the location for display in a text field.
There is sample code for using standard windows dialog in the sample area of this site.
