I have a form that the user can put the beginning and ending date for a report to show up. I was wondering if it is possible to use the same form to open up a make table query, instead of asking the user with two different dialog boxes.

Thank you in advance

What are you getting at?
You can't automate user input...

Maybe I should explain this a little bit more! I have a button on my switchboard that the user clicks that it asks them two questions. One for beginning and the other for ending date. When they are done, a table is made out of the range they want and then they can look at their report based on that table. All I want is to just use the form I have that I use for my reports to show up. I have this in my query for the date:
Is Not Null And Between [Forms]![Report Date Range]![BeginningDate] And [Forms]![Report Date Range]![EndingDate]

The Report Date Range is my form that I am talking about. I am not trying to automate user input.

Thanks

You're on the right track...

What isn't working about it so far?

Sorry, but I don't understand. What happens now ie what forms, queries or reports do you see, and what intermediate step do you want to avoid??

My form does not open. Instead of one dialog box which is my form it asks me two differnt questions. One is [Forms]![Report Date Range]![BeginningDate] , so I put the beginning and the other one [Forms]![Report Date Range]![EndngDate], which defeats the purpose of having the form!

*smacks forehead*

Got it.

The problem is your "Run Report" button should not open the Report or Query directly, as it did before. Instead have it open your new popup form. Then you have a button on your popup form that actually runs the Report, once those fields are filled in.

It sounds weird at first but once you get used to it, you'll see lots of ways to use popup forms instead of parameters.

Thank you David, I thought I was going crazy:D
I haven't tried that yet, but it sounds like it's going to work;)
Thanks again
