BOM type question

I am trying to make a form/table that will allow me to enter where I put a tool in our tool cribs.

I thought this would be a simple BOM type thing with parent and child fields.
So my table would look like this:
T_Cribs
Parent
Child
LocationDescription

This works until I need to edit one, for example:

Main Crib
Shelf A
Bin 1

Backup Crib
Shelf A
Bin 1

If I want to delete Bin1 for Shelf A for Main Crib, I also delete it for the Backup Crib.

So, now I don't know what to do.

In this case, with a recursive BOM, if you want to delete Bin 1 for the Main Crib, but keep it for the Backup crib, then you should have Bin 1 report to the Backup Crib directly, instead of tying to Shelf A for the blow-through.

Then I guess I can't do it in a parent/child relationship since I really need a parent/child/grand child relationship to get me 3 levels deep. Which means I need a 3 column table.

Sound about right?
