Hello,

As some of you probably noticed there is a bug in de access 2007 developer extensions.
When you package your solution and for the root install folder you select (all users) you get a warning when you startup your packaged solution.
When you select current user you dont get a message.

Does anybody know if this problem is solved by microsoft?

How is this a bug? If the current user is an administrator, you won't get an warning message. When testing against all users, it needs to warn. And, if it installs properly, why is a warning message a bug? What breaks or otherwise doesn't work?

It’s not a bug. It’s a security issue.

The tendency to forget that the era of Windows 98 is gone is all too common. Security settings in Windows XP and Vista are very different from Windows 98.

You cannot install an application if the user is not the administrator.

Give the package to someone who has the administrative rights.

Microsoft admits this is a bug.
Read it in the following article:
Message when you open an Access 2007 database application that was packaged by using the ADE 2007 Package Solution wizard: "A potential security concern has been identified"

Under STATUS it states that Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Therefore I would like to know wheter it is fixed.

I agree with unclejoe on this. The link you specified says nothing of the sort that it is a bug. It has to do with Security and they show the way that you (your users) have to deal with it. They have to install the program as admin on their profile.
