I have a report that tells me how many prenumbered forms I will be distributing to various entities. The query that generates the report has an expression that calculates data from several fields within the table from which the query is based. This calculation determines the number of forms to be distributed to an entity.

I want to be able to have the report also tell me the range of numbers of the prenumbered forms that a particular entity will get. For example, the prenumbered forms start at 15001. The first entitiy will receive 41 forms. I want a calculated field on the Report that indicates the entity on this row will receive forms numbered 15001-15041. The next entity on the report receives 6 forms and I want that row to have a range of 15042-15047. There are roughly 300 entities who will be receiving forms. Each entitity is in a subsequent row on the report.

Any suggestions? As always, thank you for your consideration.

Chris,

I've written a little VB procedure that will do what you need to do. It runs an update query when the report is activated and sets a text field for each record to the ranges you are looking for. I will send it to you.
