calculating payments

hi, can anyone help me? i want to have a payments form that will have
a field that shows the cost of a lesson,
another that shows the total amount paid,
another that shows the outstanding

and a box that you click that will allow you to enter an amount, that updates the total amount paid and the show the outstanding box.

got any ideas?

hi, i think what uve done is perfect for me. however, my bd is set up a little different so when i treid to copy the one uve done, it didnt work out so good, even with the changes i did, also im not sure which code the field needs to go into.
could you give me the directions u took to set it up? the form etc. id be really greatful if you could.

Sorry, but being from the states I had to convert everything to our good ole' US Dollars....

But regardless this should work for you. I also changed you underlining form query and built the new pricing calculation into a Case Statement on the After Update of the SubjectID
