Calendar function

Hello, Ive been trying to use the calendar function, but still with no success. I have been throught the forums to find a simple example, but cannot find one. I have a database which holds various sales information. I have form which has combo boxes and when the criteria is selected, the values appear in the subform. I want to be able to also select sales mande within any given date range. Does anyone have an example of this. Do i need to use a calendar or can I use a parameter query.
