Hi Guys. I have used Mile-O's Calendar function to good effect. It worked fine on my home PC (OS = XP Professional). I have just installed the Database on my brothers PC (XP Home Edition). When I call the calendar function from the forms I get errors (see Jpegs) that then shut down Access??
Anybody else come across this?

It's never about the version of Windows, but the version of Office that's installed.

Anyway, likely he just doesn't have the calendar control object installed. I forget the name of the file required, but if you open it on his machine and go to the VBE and hit Tools-References, you'll likely find it says "Missing", but yours doesn't. From yours, you can get the file name, and copy the file to his PC.

Cheers

It now comes flooding back!!
:D

Problems......Problems

Hi Guys. I am still trying to get the DB installed on my Brothers machine. The errors remain as per my previous posts. Please refer to the attached Jpeg to see what I have installed under preferences on my version of Access.

What generates the errors I am experiancing on his machine?

Thanks in advance,
Phil.

Killing me

Guys HELP. This problem is killing me!!
I have developed a D/Base as part of a project for my brothers small business. It works great on my system running Office Xp Pro. He also runs XP Pro.
I have implemented Mile-O's superb calendar function. This works fine on my system. However when I select the calendar after installing the DB on my brothers PC it crashes his system???

I have attached a Jpeg of my References Set-Up? Can anybody spot the reason for this NIGHTMARE!!!

You may need to go into bro's system and make sure all those references are checked on his system.

Did you do that yet?

Also, maybe send a PM to Mile...

Sorry..........

Woops...did not explain myself too well there! The last attached Jpeg was my brothers system set-up!!! I have NO idea why the calendar function will not work? Need to resolve this one so he can begin using the DB........
Thanks for your time.......
:)

I had the same problem. I realise this question was posted over a month ago but just in case someone else has the same problem...

Here's what you have to do.

Open Access and click on the Tools menu.
Select ActiveX Controls.
Highlight Calendar Control
Click Unregister
Click Register... and find MSACAL70.OCX in your [Windows]\SYSTEM32 folder.

Close Access and open it again.

The Calendar Control should work now.

I cant find that file; is that for XP only?
cheers

Many thanks I will give that a whirl and post the result.

Worked

Great, that did the trick.....I can now stop scratching my head!!
:D

Sorry, I hadn't even seen this thread. :(

It really is a pain when Office is installed to varying degrees on different environments. The different versions of the Calendar don't help either (Cal 8.0, Cal 9.0, Cal 10.0 - I think they just change the number  ) and usually it involves reinstalling Office to get the Calendar or finding the appropriate library or the control itself.
