I work with aircraft, to be specific a small airline. We can't afford a full blown aircraft utilization system, so I've been looking into alternatives.

In access can I do the following:

Create a time group.. e.g 1000 until 1400, and then have this displayed as a coloured bar on a blank page.

Can I then add more information, i.e a departure airport, arrival airport and have this displayed at the begining and end of the flight.

Can I click the bar and have a new window open with further information.

Is this too advanced for access, or will it simply take too long to enter all the data? I am delving into the reams of a prog written in c++?

All this information can be imported into an access or excel table. (We use an excel table now to display this but not in "bar" view, only pages of text!

Cheers!

hehehe.. excellent cheers mate.

Seems there is more than one company doing it the cheap way! I am never volunteering my "computer skills" again!

Nope-- Gatwick in Sussex. But I work there all the same.

Ok, another question,

Can I display multiple solid bars on one line? As the example shows one per line.
Also.. any easy way to make it editable. I.e when a flight has departed can I add in a new bar manually? I guess not.

Thnks!

Since the timeline is just one control there's nothing to stop you adding more controls of the same type, you would ReQuery the form to display updated info
