Can Not Decrypt Data

Hello All

I am trying to import an Excel spreadsheet using the docmd.transferspreadsheet method ; however I am getting a "Can Not Decrypt Data" error message. I have narrowed down the source of this error message to be my shared workbook. I have to unshare the workbook to import it into access. Is there a way that I can have access tell excel the password to unshare this workbook and import in access?
