cannot see database

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever had the problem of not being able to view a database. I tried to open an existing database, but I don't have it in design view or edit view. Basically I have blank page. If I create a new database I do not get the design view screen at all I just have the gray background. It was working fine the other day, not sure what happened. I've tried restarting and reinstalling, but I still cannot view anything within Access. I'm using Microsoft Access 2000 on Windows XP Pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hold "Shift" while open ur *.mdb file ... now look in "Tools->Startup->Display Form/Page"...check "Display Database Window" .

Thanks for the quick response! I appreciate it. Unfortunately, That still does not work. The "Tools" menu selection is not enabled.

Does this do it for new databases too?

When you open Access and you have a blank screen, try pressing F11 which should bring the database window into view.
