Cannot Update. Database or object is read only.

I'm using Access 2000.

I have a query that I want to export in preparation for a mail merge within MS Word.

I have a macro set up as follows:-

Transfer Type: Export Delimited
Table Name: Query1
File Name: c:\MyData
Has Field Names: Yes

This used to output a text file on my C:\ drive in Access 97.

This no longer works in 2000. I receive the above message.


Does anyone now why not????

If you used to use A97 and are now using A2K you migrated. and most likely also got migrated from win NT4 to Win XP ? or something?

In migating your sysops may have set the C:\ as read only...

either that or the file allready exists and is marked read only....
