Can't edit records in form

I have a form where the record source is a query with 2 joined tables. I can not edit the records. Is there a way to do this?

Can they be edited directly in the query? If not:

Something to do with the relationship between the tables. If it's not set to one-to-many it won't allow you to update the records.
