Can't open report in preview if opened by Hyperlink

I have a report that will open by clicking a hyperlink and I want it to open in preview mode. I tried using: "DoCmd.RunCommand (acCmdPrintPreview)" or "Report.CurrentView = 5" in the On Open event but, no success, I only get an error message.

Use DoCmd.OpenReport to open the report in Preview mode.
