Capturing Data

I have a form. In the form is a field [Contractor] which has a drop down box of names. Once an automated e-mail is sent, [Contractor] contents is deleted.

What I want to do is capture the name used in the [Contractor] field into a permanent field [ContractorPerm] before I delete the [Contractor] contents.

I want to keep the [ContractorPerm] data for historical reference.

Any help would be appreciated.

To point you in the right direction:

First create a table to store your permanent contractor names (say tblPermanentContractors).
Then you need to create an "append query" or an "insert sql statement" that will add the name
in your form into the permanent contractor table before deleting it.
