Hi,

I'm designing a quote application that assigns a quote number to each record. By choosing the email button, the user get's the option to convert the report to .rtf, .snp, ...etc, and then have the file automatically attached in a new email in Outlook or Outlook Express. That works.

But the way I'm getting the button to execute the email, the file generated and attached to the new email is always the same as the report name, ie, "CustomerQuote.snp". Because this quote app is for a business with multiple quotes to the same customer, it would be best if a unique file name, such as the quote number, could be assigned to the output file to be emailed.

This may be more of an Outlook question than not, but I was wondering if there was a way to perhaps pause the automation to allow the user to assign a new file name. You can't really do it once the file is attached to the Outlook email, other than by opening the file, doing a save as, closing, deleting, reattaching new name.

I'm currently using these lines for the automatic file attachment on this:
DoCmd.OpenReport "rCustomerQuote", acPreview, "", "[QuoteRecord]=[Forms]![Quote out to Shippers]![QuoteRecord]"
DoCmd.SendObject acReport, stDocName

Any help most appreciated.
