Changing Forms without changing records

I have a form that I use to look up contacts for editing. I would like to be able to press a button that closes that form, opens a new one, and goes to the contact I was just viewing. The contact number is already stored in a table called contacttempstore. Is there a way to tell access to find the record that matches the one in contacttempstore?

If you have a relationship between two tables that is organized on an ID, say contact ID number, you should be able to have a form that opens up when you click on the button and edit the additional information you need.

Or have a sub form that show the additional information in the second table right on the same form.

But you will need to read up on Database normalization, (search this site for it) to make it work really easy for you.
