checkbox recognition

I'm using DCount to get statistics within my report. One of the fields ( [TCSecuredBeforeEnroll] ) in a table making up a query has a yes/no format, and is edited by selecting a checkbox in a form.

I've used the following to try and recognise it but it comes up with #error.

=DCount("[TCSecuredBeforeEnroll]","stu-stats"," [TCSecuredBeforeEnroll] = 'Yes' ")

Any ideas guys and gals?

Don't use 'Yes' - use True*


* note that there are no apostrophes surrounding True

Remove the quotes around Yes
