I have a fairly simple db which includes a field with a yes/no checkbox for a piece of data. A form contains all of the data fields. I print each form after a new record is created for proofreading, as some of the information is in foreign languages. All prints fine except the checkbox. Even if there is a check in the checkbox, only the label prints. The checkbox does show up in form preview -it just doesn't print. It is not a margin problem. I confirmed that in the format properties for that field that visible is set to yes. Any help, especially help that does not involve creating coding, would be greatly appreciated.

Shot in the dark, but make sure the Display When property is set to Always.

Thanks...but it was already set to Always. Double checked printing, and still nothing

Most of us only print reports, not forms. You have a lot more control over the output. I wonder if this is a quirk of printing a form? I've never seen this happen before.

Make sure your print settings are not set to "Draft" or "Low Quality". Check boxes will not print at those settings.

Or at least that has been my experience.

That was it! I almost always print as "fast" or draft to save ink, unless it is something that needs the quality. Thank You!

GREAT! Glad it worked out for you.

Where is PA are you? I am in State College.

You can click the "Thank You" link if my answer helped.

I also say thank you!! I spent 2 hours messing with checkboxes not printing before finding your post.
Any idea why that is like that??
Alan

Truthfully, I am not really sure why it works that way. I can only assume that it has something to do with the fact that a check box is a graphic image (something special to Access).

All I know is that it works that way.

Good luck with your project!
