Choosing records to print from a form or report

Hi All,
I am designing a database to record info about train running,we do a lot of swapping trains around and I have designed a table to store this info, I was wondering if its possible to be able to view the trains swapped in a report and then be able to put a check box next to records that need to be printed out !, also can I do a query and be able to enter dates and times between to search for records and then print them out also ?
