This is really just really a question so that I understand the situation a bit better.

Normally all of my databases reside on a network and are run from there. Question, Does the server or my machine do the processing (Tables, queries etc all in one database)

I have a particular application that uses linked tables. The forms queries etc are on my machine (C drive) and the database with the tables in on the network. Again Question which does the processing.

What I am after achieving is that a front end sits on my machine but all processing is done on the server. If either of the above is not doing this how is it achieved.

Clues, useful web sites, articles appreciated

with access all of the processing is done on your computer. The network traffic is bad because you computer has to pull the info off the server to run querys and such. Ether way it is this way - split or not split. If you are looking at having the server do the work then you need to get somthing like an sql server or such.
