PERHAPS this filter selection would be better placed in the HEADER of the mainform, not in the subform.
ie put a cbobox with
steak, berry, egg in the main form header (populate this with all the available options that might show in the subform, make it multi select - then you can pick one ingredient, or several) - thats the way i would do it.
I'm stuggling here with getting paid and eating or spending another 2 weeks doing right but doint it over, again.
I wouldntIt might not be the best, it might not be snazzy but i think he may accept it.
For special wildcards in Access you actually want to search on use [] around it...What do I need to search for Like "*#4*" where the # is an actual character?
The symbol is already in there I can't change them or eliminate them from the fields.
