Hi all,

I am currently running a query which takes values from 1 row, alters them and appends a new table but im now using data which often has several lines per member, where the additional lines contain information not found in the first line.

So, for example, i have

JAMES, WESTWAY, L17, , FAX
JAMES,,,12/07/1980,

How can i combine the two within an Access 97 query so that 12/07/1980 will appear in the cell between L17 and FAX?

Many Thanks

You might want to give your data some id's first. so there is a relationship between rows.

First append the address data to the new table.

Then link the new table to a query which pulls a dataset filtering on dates only. You can then update the new table with the dates you want to extract.

Thats worked fine, thanks for the info, i just couldnt get my head around how to do it.
