Hi

I have a confusing situation. I have a need of creating a combobox which displays records from different tables.

Eg.

I have a table called "house parts" and filled with records like

room, hall, garage

Secondly i have a table called "Parts" and filled with

floor, ceiling, lamp, window etc.

As u see, "house parts" could consist of "Parts" like "room" could have floor, ceiling etc.

I need to create a query that shows me all the records from "house parts" and also "Parts" in the same list.

Can anyone help me please

I think your Parts Table should have a Pkey field PartsID in it , you may have one already. When you are creating your House Rooms record (main Table/Form) you can have multiple combos that will store the PartsID in the House Room table. or they can even be simple check boxes so when checked they lookup the Parts table and return the PK.
Then generate the query from the House Rooms

That's how I would probably tackle it.

nope

The point is that I need to have a list of parts and subassemblies from one combobox. Is that possible somehow?

if you can design a query that gives you what you want, use that as a combo box source

yeah

Thats what im looking for. The Query that merges two columns into one that can be used in combobox. Does anyone have an experience?
