Combo Box doesn't populate fields after re-opening

Hello!! SEEMS LIKE the Combo Box populates fields if I build it from scratch, but then stops working after closing and re-opening the database. I've been struggling for hours and hours, so hopefully you can help!!

COMBO BOX SQL:
SELECT Employees.ID, Employees.LastName, Employees.FirstName, Employees.Title
FROM Employees;

AFTER UPDATE PROCEDURE VBA:
Private Sub cboNames_AfterUpdate()
Me.txtLastName = Me![cboNames].Column(1)
Me.txtFirstName = Me![cboNames].Column(2)
Me.txtTitle = Me![cboNames].Column(3)
End Sub

...seems I can't leave the database open forever - so hopefully someone can help!! Thank you in advance!!

Seems to work ok for me. Cannot replicate the issue.

Well, that's good and bad!! ANY idea of a setting that might be triggering it?? Thank you for taking the time to look!!

This will sound very lame - but I changed my settings from "Disable all macros with notification" to "Enable all macros" and it works!! I never had any notifications... but your success made me give it a shot. Thanks, Alansidman!!

...now if I can only get my 6 hours back.
