My problem is that the > and < are not recognized by the query ("too complex" error) but it works when I enter the > manually and the $$ through the form..

[Forms]![AC_Dealer_List]![Combo EB Volume] & [Forms]![AC_Dealer_List]![Text EB Volume $]

It's probably the format of the combo box that cause the problem but I cannot solve it..

Any ideas?

Thanks

DajOne,

[Forms]![AC_Dealer_List]![Combo EB Volume] & [Forms]![AC_Dealer_List]![Text EB Volume $]

Are you concatenating a number with a currency field? That really should
not work too well ...

Wayne,

Thanks for the reply .. This is more complete as a question

I have a form which has a combo box ([Combo EB Volume]) with > and < as choice and a text field ([Text EB Volume $]) to enter an amount ($). These are used as criterias in a query with the following syntax

[Forms]![AC_Dealer_List]![Combo EB Volume] & [Forms]![AC_Dealer_List]![Text EB Volume $]

My problem is that the > character is not recognized by the query because SQL puts an '=' in front of the > character...

IS there a way around this?
Thanks

DajOne,

You will have to dynamically build your query.

Use the Search Facility here and look for "QueryDef", there are lots
of examples.
