combo box - part of the field

When scrolling through the form with the tab button, the combo box seems to have a tab all it's own.. I want it to be directly related to the field it's in.. is that possible?

I don't understand your question, but I think that I answered your question about tab order in a previous post. Refer to that answer.

You can remove a combo box from the tab order as well in the Properties.
