Combo Box Problem

I have a cbo box with three selections in it. I have it on a form. The form has several records it can scroll through. How do i make the selection i made for a particluar record stick when i go back to the record. Every time i leave the record and go back the cbo box is blank..

Does your combo box have a recordsource? If it (or any other control) is not bound to a particular field the combo box selection won't be saved when you move to another record.
