combo box send value to diffrent table

Is it posible to send the selected combo box item to a different table to that from which it resides the form relates to

I have a customers order table with a subform where i have a combo box to display the products and selec the product .
I soon realised i needed a catogories list .as i had far to many products
I decided a cascading combo box was the answer .I have spent many hours trying to get this to work .and have now succeded but it only works ina seperate form ,It sems impossible to make it work in the subform ,as it always throws up a parameter box .I think this is something to do with the where statement being unable to find the subform .Anyway it works in a seperate form no problems and if i coild put the result into the subform product box all would be well .u

That does look very interesting ,but is going to take some time to my head around it .this is my where statement forms!customer new orderdetails].[combopick and it works
Is it possible you could you coild give me an examlple where statement .
also if i use my current form that works could you shoe me what i need to do to get the answe in to the product box of subform
