Hello,
I am wondering if anyone else has this problem? I have a Windows 7 Professional laptop with Microsoft Office 2007 installed.

For some reason when I open a database where there is a start up form set, either in the Current Database settings or an AutoExec macro, I can not use the comboboxes or command buttons. I have to open the database in Administrative mode first then open the form and it works perfectly.

I really don't understand what is going on here. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Office but it still has this same annoying problem. It doesn't even give me an error. I am not an Access novice but this one really has me stumped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank in advance.

Is this happening with every database?

I don't run 2007, so can't do any testing on this, but I have read, on several different forums, that AutoExec Macro code not firing is related to the Macro Security Settings being set too high.

@Vassago
To answer your question...the problem did occur on more than one database but not all databases. I could not lock down a common link between the problem databases.

Thank you for the advice and link. I added My Documents where the databases are located to the "Trusted Locations" list and that seems to have fixed the problems.

Thanks again,
