[SOLVED] Combobox items cannot be selected

I know this sounds stupid.. but I am stumped at this issue now
I have a combobox, which loads a list of supplier names. Managed to get it out on the form, but when I tried to select any one supplier, there is a sound played - "Ding" , basically it means I cannot click on it
The combo is not disabled neither is it locked.. just what is going on..?

I have checked, but nothing to do with my Column Count

michane, are you saying that this is happening at table level? not on forms? If you are thinking of having lookups in table level, it is highly not recommended.. It will cause you trouble and pain as you go along further.. I would suggest that you change the lookup to either Text/Number whebever you need to show the value just perform a Join..

I think we still need to see a copy of the actual DB. So we can asses it's structure, and see what is actually going on.

John, my actual DB size too big even after zipped...
paul, where do I do a join? I tried to change the lookup inside Supplier table to combobox though, but still doesn't work..

Try a Compact and Repair.. Also just that you know we do not need the actual DB.. we only need a few test data and maybe delete forms/reports that is not in question.. Ofcourse on a BACKUP copy..

You seem to have split the data base, yet you have only uploaded the Front End We will also need the Back End.

Please put both in a zip file and upload that.

OK so the Back End was in your first up load.

You problem lies in the Control Source of your combo, which is currently;

=[Supplier]![Supplier_Name]

As your form is unbound it cannot find this field to write to. So simply remove that line of code from the Control Source and you will find that you can select any of the items in the list.
