combobox sort order

I created a table and then created the combo box based off the table. The table lists the items in the order I want them in, but the combo box lists them in ABC order. How do I change it to show them in the order that I listed them in the table?

Instead of basing the combo directly on the table, base it on SQL that returns the desired fields and has the desired sort order applied. From the existing combo, click on the ellipsis (...) to the right of the table name. It will ask if you want to create a query, say yes.

then of course, we presume that your table has a primary key that is autonumber. presumably, the order you say want that the table automatically presents will be in descending order of the primary key.

in the SQL that pbaldy urges you to make for the combo, add the primary key as another field and select the sort order to be descending.
